   Oahu - The Gathering Place

The “Gathering Place” is the island of Oahu and the entire island is the City and County of Honolulu with a land area of 597.1 square miles.  Oahu is the third largest island, has three-fourths of the State’s population and is the center of business and government for the State of Hawaii.  Additionally, the world famous tourist destination, Waikiki, is located on this island and Downtown Honolulu is the financial district of Hawaii.   

CLIMATE: The average temperatures range from 68° F. to 81° F. and an average
                  rainfall of 23 inches per year.

Island Flower: The 'ilima which may have yellow or orange blossoms.

TOURISM: The island of Oahu is the main destination for most visitors to Hawaii.
